Owners, Paul and Ange bought City Seafood Market three years ago with the emphasis of providing the freshest and best quality seafood sourced locally, nationally and internationally. Our focus from the beginning has been to provide a wonderful seafood experience at your doorstep in central Christchurch. We have had many years experience in the Seafood Industry, from fishing compliance, exporting, importing and processing.
From choosing, preparing, cooking and providing general information on fish, we aim not only to serve quality fresh fish but also educate the customer on different species of seafood and the nutritional benefits its brings you.
We have over 30 varieties of fish most days, something within everyone’s budget. We have also introduced a large range of products to assist you in your preparation and cooking including: oils, dressings, herbs, spices, sauces, produce and much, much more.
We have lots of recipes to help you also with your cooking. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are only too happy to assist and help you with all your queries and requirements.
We believe in and encourage shopping for local foodstuffs and are continuously sourcing more of our fish locally and nationally. We have a huge selection of fish available six days a week from local markets, some regional fishing boats (NZ) and from overseas suppliers
We supply to caterers, restaurants, bars and cafes, supermarkets and grocers as well as the general public. Our reputation is based on providing the freshest, best quality fish around which has helped grow our business.
